The department has a command structure that is designed to help us achieve our mission and meet the needs of the citizens. The department’s strategic direction is determined by four administrative chief officers and three battalion chiefs, who together form the command staff. The Senior Leadership Team is made up of the four administrative chiefs who oversee the administrative, essential services, community risk management, and emergency operations divisions. The fire chief, who is a member of the city’s senior leadership team, serves as the chief executive officer of the fire department and collaborates on city-wide initiatives.
